Project details

What we need
  • Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
  • Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
Additional details

Our current Employee Handbook is a few years old and we need help reviewing the document to ensure that all the language is current, accurate, and complete. We may need help identifying new/needed sections. A small team of 2 staff and 2 board members will work on this project. The goal is to have a formal draft to present to the board for their approval of organization-specific benefits, policies, and procedures at the conclusion of the process.

What we have in place
  • We currently have 2 staff and 2 board members assigned to support this project, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a shareable electronic copy of the current Employee Handbook, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,905 , allowing us to spend those resources directly on mission-based activities related to sketch comedy performances or class instruction, i.e., teacher and artist salaries, marketing/advertising, etc.

An Employee Handbook is core structural element of an effective human resources function. With the frequent changes in hiring, management, compensation, and employment law, it is important to have up-to-date policies and procedures in place to support a growing staff.
