Project details

What we need
  • A compelling narrative, or set of stories
  • Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
  • Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
  • Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
What we have in place
  • We currently have data we have collected from past participants, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have contact information of parent(s) of youth participants, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to invest more time in researching grant opportunities.

The organization wants to tell more compelling stories of why we exist and what we do. We know that our programs and events are unique, but getting the support through participation, and/or funding sometimes falls between the cracks with the way we tell our story.

Our mission

At Bat is striving to increase the number of at-risk youth who participate in baseball and softball by providing free clinics and low-cost programs.

What we do

Baseball and Softball Clinics: Introduce youth ages 6 to 13 to the fundamentals of baseball and softball. Youth engage in pitching, catching, and hitting drills.

After-School Program: During the school year, Kindergarten to 8th grade students learn baseball and nutrition fundamentals, build self-esteem, and apply academic concepts to real-life examples through structured activities.

Baseball and Softball Camp: During the summer, youth ages 6 to 13 engage in baseball and softball drills. We partner with local community organizations where there is a limited amount of or no sporting organizations available within the community. We take pride in giving youth who never had the opportunity to learn baseball and softball a chance.
