Project details

What we need
  • A compelling narrative, or set of stories
  • Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
  • Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
  • Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
Additional details

Baltimore Hunger Project is leading the efforts to feed children in our community. We have increased our support by 400% during the pandemic. We have also received emergency funding to help with our efforts. I want to share the story of the past several months as we pivoted our mission (weekend childhood hunger to simply childhood hunger).
I also would love to share the story of how I started BHP from my garage.

What we have in place
  • We currently have data, stories, and pictures, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have the time to commit to this project, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to use our funding for the purchase of food for the food insecure children we support!

I am worried people will be feeling fatigue with regards to donations. Unfortunately, the number of food insecure children in only increasing and we need the support more than ever. I want to share compelling stories with our community!

Our mission

Baltimore Hunger Project is dedicated to eliminating the growing problem of weekend childhood hunger by feeding bodies and minds. We are bridging the gap between Friday and Monday by consistently providing weekend food packages to children identified as food insecure, in a compassionate and dignified manner. We raise awareness about the effects of hunger by establishing partnerships with community members, other organizations, and decision makers.
