I'd like to brainstorm ideas for using a Catchafire volunteer to help develop a Marketing Skills training /curriculum badge that teens can earn in preparation to start their own web design business.
This project is part of our Ready To Be program, which guides underserved, primarily youth of color, in planning thoughtful, relevant, fulfilling and rewarding pathways into postsecondary life. CAF volunteer would work with our Director of Youth Development and FamilyMeans volunteer to develo the curriculum. We are a nonprofit, multi-service agency with programming in Counseling & Therapy (including specialties in grief and school-based mental health); Caregiving & Aging; Financial Solutions; and Youth Development.
Jody was immediately helpful in shaping our project, by asking clarifying questions and sharing parts of her knowledge and experiences that could contribute to our work. Our conversation gave us good direction on how to move ahead with our project development. After some new work, we'll reconnect with Jody for her feedback.
