Project details
What we need
- A high-resolution digital version of an illustration that can be used across multiple channels (web, print, and/or merchandising)
Additional details
We have a series of virtual event on Arctic storytelling, coalition building, and disaster risk and response and we would love for a visual artist to take visual notes of the talk - a drawing that uses a combination of text and imagery to convey key points from the presentation. The most impactful research and science are driven by a strong, diverse coalitions. Our webinar will teach how to build long-lasting partnerships around shared research goals.
What we have in place
- We currently have a dedicated staff member to work with you, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an outline of the talk being given via Zoom, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to provide early career stipends for a mentorship program in Arctic migrations research.
Our initiative, the Migration In Harmony Research Coordination Network. is an international, cross-disciplinary network of Arctic migration researchers. By providing visual notes of this talk by a network member, we can shares example of building coalitions in sustainable fisheries research, management, and policy action in Alaska, and together we'll explore how to move from idea to action plan by building a diverse coalition to support better scientific research.
Project plan
Our mission
TAI envisions a world in which the Arctic’s diverse and complex sources of insecurity are identified, understood, and innovatively resolved. We hope to achieve this by informing Arctic policy across the circumpolar region through objective, multidisciplinary, and innovative social science research. We do this through publishing high-quality, open access research on a range of issues relating to security in the High North; providing innovative policy analysis and recommendations to policymakers a
What we do
The Arctic Institute is an independent international institute dedicated to research of and engagement in the many dimensions of Arctic insecurity.
