What we need
  • Training on how to create video content for web and specific social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
  • List of recommendations and best practices for shooting a video
  • Instructions for how to post videos to respective social media platforms
Additional details

In order to postively inspire the young men in the Platinum Minds program, I felt it necessary to provide them with stories of their history, which provides self esteem, culture and a framework from which to positively connect to their fullest potential. I would like to create short videos from chapters of the book that I can post on the website so the scholars in the program and other students can begin to see a different narrative of themselves and rise to the occassion in excellence.

What we have in place
  • We currently have material for the stories, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an active Youtube and website for posting the completed proj, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to focus on student centered services needed for the upcoming academic year.

This project will help us assist students with low self-esteem and a failing sense of value with hope. When students feel good about themselves, respected and hopeful, they do better academically.

  • Professional prepares a detailed training plan outlining topics to be covered and structure of training
  • Volunteer Manager provides feedback which Professional incorporates

  • Professional trains Volunteer Manager how to record video(s)
  • Professional shares tips and best practices for creating videos - including necessary equipment, determining location/background settings, camera placement, etc.
  • Professional shares apps/tools that can be used to record videos

Milestone 3: Sharing Videos
  • Professional instructs Volunteer Manager how to post videos directly to each specified social media platform
  • Professional remains available for follow up questions for up to two weeks
