Project details

What we need
  • Ongoing web development support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
  • Support may include: website maintenance, updates or improvements
  • Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.
Additional details

We recently updated our website to improve the user experience/visuals. Want to build on this foundation and review content for SEO and add new features like an events calendar. Looking for short term support to help address these goals, and also help staff understand how to make updates to site & maintain updates on WordPress.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a well designed site, staff with basic knowledge of WordPress, and a designated staff member who manages the website and has time over next several weeks to dedicate to these improvements/learning more about WordPress and site maintenance.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,144 , allowing us to fully stock our Mobile Food Pantry for 2 distributions, feeding almost 200 individuals.

The agency's website has become a hub of information especially during COVID19. All agency programs are operating remotely and staff, donors, community members and potential clients are all turning more to the site for up to date information. As the agency grows under this remote model, we anticipate relying even more on our website to communicate and update our constituents. We want to make sure the site is easy to find for those searching for services and easy to navigate.

Our mission

JFCS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community service agency that strengthens individuals and families by empowering people to care for themselves and others.

What we do

Jewish Family & Children's Service of Greater Mercer County (JFCS) is grounded in the ideals of help, hope and healing. JFCS adapts Jewish values to meet the needs of the broader community through comprehensive social services for people of all ages and backgrounds in the Greater Mercer region.
Through a wide range of high quality social services and programs, delivered by compassionate staff, our agency assists families with many of life's toughest challenges.
We help comfort and care for seniors to keep them safe in their homes as long as they wish to be there.
We inspire hope for a better tomorrow with counseling at our main office in Princeton, our satellite office in East Windsor (Hightstown), and through support groups held across the community.
We heal with a simple bag of groceries - whether chosen at our pantry, delivered to a senior's home OR distributed into the hands of those most in need from the JFCS Mobile Food Pantry.
