Board Assessment
Project details
What we need
- 1-2 page summary of takeaways and trends from interviewing key individuals (no more than 8 interviews total)
- Identification of the board’s strengths and recommendations for areas of improvement for board members collectively and individually
Additional details
We are transitioning from a start-up board to more high-functioning board. We need help assessing our current strengths and weaknesses, as well as creating a strategy to grow our board with the expertise.
What we have in place
- We currently have a motivated, if somewhat disengaged board, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a motivated executive director with corporate experience, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $8,773 , allowing us to serve more student mothers in college.
Our solid, engaged board will be critical to our growth over the next five years.

Our mission
Our formula is simple: money for college + quality child care = economic mobility. Each Nana Grant helps cover the cost of child care for one year, renewable for the length of the student's program of study at a Georgia Technical College. Our goal is to remove the uncertainty of continuous, quality child care from the equation so that student mothers can focus on their studies, graduate and have a rewarding, well-compensated career.
