Project details

What we need
  • 3-5 one hour calls with an events professional covering topics like concept, general structure, logistics, and target attendees
  • A written summary of topics discussed, including event concept and theme, general plan, estimated budget (optional), and articulated goals (feel free to use this template as a starting point)
  • Note: This project does not include on-site event coordination or support on the day of the event
Additional details

We have a concept for a virtual event for our 30th anniversary which involves social distanced discussion between our founders, honoring our deceased founders, live music, and small live auction. My volunteers and board can implement but do not have the skills necessary to plan a virtual event. We are a small grassroots environmental advocacy organization with only 3 part-time staff facing a deficit of 60-90k in revenue needed to support our programs due to cancellations of in-person events.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a small draft document of the event concept, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a board approved messaging document, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to host a virtual event to bridge our fundraising gap.

This event will not happen without a volunteer to help plan. Our annual dinner, which was cancelled due shelter-in-place, typically brings around $25-30k in funds that go to support our Land Use Program, GenOps and any remaining Watershed Program expenses not covered by grant funding. This event will help us bridge the revenue deficit to keep our staff employed and to continue our advocacy work for environmental sustainability.
