Additional details
We have a growing list of potential new names for our organization. We are looking for a qualified nonprofit professional to advise on new name choices and on rolling out the new name. Our goal is to have a new name selected by August 15, 2020. Our name is cultural offensive so we have shortened it to acronym in most of our materials, until we can launch an official new name more in line with our humanitarian values.
What we have in place
- We currently have demographics information, vision, mission, goals, and values, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a graphic designer working on visuals, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,998 , allowing us to focus both on anti-racist causes and COVID-19 aid in our area. (about 5-mile radius of Langley Park, MD)
Our current name is culturally offensive. We aim to have a new name selected by August 15. The journey to this date started about 18 months ago and it's time.
In the meantime, we retired the offending logo and switched to an acronym.
