Project details

What we need
  • An easily understood visual aid that communicates complex information
  • A high-resolution version of the Infographic in the Organization’s preferred format
Additional details

Diseases are on the move towards the North, as a consequence of global warming and we want to create an infographic to explain why this is happening, and why it's important, and we need your help! We would like to visually answer, "What new infectious diseases will emerge in the Arctic as a consequence of global warming, and what will the associated societal effects be like?"

What we have in place
  • We currently have all the information for the infographic, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a dedicated staff member ready to help, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to provide early career stipends for youth leaders to attend all annual meetings and professional development trainings

This infographic is part of our Migration in Harmony Research Coordination Network on Arctic migrations, where we work to synthesize current research and build collaborative project teams to support a resilient, just, and sustainable Arctic in motion. We strive to nurture a sense of community within the network by providing education, training, and exchange opportunities. By creating this infographic, we are sharing our network member's expertise to everyone, from students to senior researchers.

Our mission

TAI envisions a world in which the Arctic’s diverse and complex sources of insecurity are identified, understood, and innovatively resolved. We hope to achieve this by informing Arctic policy across the circumpolar region through objective, multidisciplinary, and innovative social science research. We do this through publishing high-quality, open access research on a range of issues relating to security in the High North; providing innovative policy analysis and recommendations to policymakers a

What we do

The Arctic Institute is an independent international institute dedicated to research of and engagement in the many dimensions of Arctic insecurity. Established in 2011, TAI provides data, analysis, and recommendations to policymakers, researchers, media, and the interested public. Based in Washington, DC, TAI’s network of research associates extends across North America, Scandinavia, and the European Union.

Testimonials

Joelle was an incredible graphic designer that we cannot recommend highly enough. Joelle listened intently to our needs and created professional, sleek, and compelling graphic on Arctic infectious diseases. She was able to distill complex science into an easy-to-understand graphic, and was able to do so in a timely manner and will adjustments from our team. Joelle is both a great professional designer and a great team member.
