Project details

What we need
  • A Membership Strategy document of 2-4 pages, including analysis of the Organization’s current membership program, step-by-step guide to a new or improved program, growth goals and creative outreach strategies
Additional details

We are in the beginning stages of creating a membership program with our Board and looking for someone who can provide training. Our Board is extremely dedicated and talented but have minimal experience with nonprofit fundraising

What we have in place
  • We currently have an idea for a membership program and have a strategy that outlines: 1. donor segmentation - communication with top 50 donors; 2. how to re-engage lapsed donors; 3. how to recruit new donors; and 4. how to engage existing donors. We also have a full-time development staff who can help you obtain any information you might need
How this will help
This project will save us $5,848 , allowing us to allowing us to preserve our unrestricted/flexible funding for truly emergency needs (food, childcare, transportation, housing, etc. for clients)

KAN-WIN has a passionate group of donors who support our mission and vision. However, there has been quite a bit of turnover for the development associate position, which has made long-term membership development and strengthening difficult. With increased donor engagement and individual giving, KAN-WIN will be able to better serve the needs of sexual assault and domestic violence survivors/victims many of whom have needs that cannot only be met through program-specific funding
