Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Project details
What we need
- Development of a new website using a Content Management System (CMS)
- Training to ensure Organization's staff members can update content and manage the site post-launch
- Note: This project is for a website built with a Content Management System (CMS), such as Wordpress, Squarespace, Joomla, Drupal, or Weebly . A CMS-based website can be maintained and updated easily (no coding required!)
Additional details
The Transnational Environmental Accountability (TEA) project aims to hold multinational companies accountable for harm caused by their actions in developing countries. The development of a website will allow us to more easily provide support for partner NGO's, provide resources for affected communities, and showcase our previous and current work. The development of a website for the project will also bring more attention to these issues.
What we have in place
- We have web content and a goal for the website. We also have project representatives able to dedicate time to assisting with the development of the website.
How this will help
This project will save us $16,822 , allowing us to provide more support for international partners and travel to sites to provide in person support.
Our project has been prioritizing working on Chinese investment in Africa and Latin America, and we have a sub-project, China Accountability Project. Some contents we want to upload are both in English and Chinese. Though we don't expect the website fully bilingual, we hope the main pages can be shown in both English and Chinese. We would want to use a world map to show where our work has been or is. Our prioritized countries are China, Ghana, Guinea, Zimbabwe, Peru, Ecuador.
