What we'd like to talk about
I'd like to talk with a marketing professional about what kind of marketing materials are best suited for our particular program. I have some marketing and outreach materials in mind.
"Phone calls" are 1 hour, one-time calls with an organization. Learn the difference between volunteering on a Phone call and a Project here.
Our mission
Our mission is to provide the highest quality of mental health, developmental, substance abuse, and prevention services and supports to the citizens of the City of Danville and Pittsylvania County. These services and supports are focused upon unlocking each individual's potential for self-determination, empowerment, recovery, resiliency and health, and the highest possible level of participation in all aspects of community life.
What we do
Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services, created in 1972 by a joint resolution of Danville City Council and the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors, is the Community Services Board that provides mental health, intellectual disability, substance abuse, and prevention services to the citizens of our City and County. A 15-member Board of Directors, which is appointed by Danville City Council and the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors, establishes policy and direction for the Agency. The Board of Directors contracts with its Executive Director to lead, direct, and supervise the Agency's day-to-day operations. Today, Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services has grown to be a large employer in Southside Virginia, with more than 270 staff members and an annual operating budget in excess of 17 million dollars. In Fiscal Year 2015, our Agency directly served 12,772 individuals through its behavioral health, developmental, and prevention divisions of service.
Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services is a growing organization with a rich history of community service that strives to unlock the potential for growth and recovery in the individuals we have the honor and privilege to serve.
Testimonials
My marketing strategy call was amazing. Julie was attentive and knowledgeable. She had reviewed the materials I sent ahead of time and was familiar with the work we are doing. Julie asked questions that made me think of solutions I had not thought about. I took 3 pages of notes during our conversation. She gave me one concrete thing to work on right away and a lot of ideas and suggestions to work towards. I highly recommend her and hope to work with her more.
