Project details

What we need
  • Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
  • Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
Additional details

We have a basic handbook for our small non-profit that needs refinement. We have 7 staff members; 4 full time and 3 part-time.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a handbook, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have availibility, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to f focus more of our funding on providing services to the early childhood community.

We do not have Human Resource personnel for our small organization. Having a handbook with clearly defined policies and procedures will eliminate potential issues.

Our mission

Smart Beginnings Rappahannock Area, a 501(c)(3), is an early childhood initiative designed to ensure that young children are prepared for success in school and in life. We are led by a volunteer Board comprised of community leaders. SBRA brings together parents, business people, community leaders, and local agencies to strengthen existing early childhood education programs and implement new approaches where needed. We are deeply concerned that in our region, up to 1 in 7 children arrive in kindergarten without the basic skills to succeed. SBRA believes that supporting early childhood education is a smart investment with a proven return.
