Program Strategy & Goals
Program Strategy & Goals
Project details
What we need
- Evaluation of current programmatic needs and how a program plan can address them
- Recommendations for an appropriate course of action to reach the desired objectives, including guidance on how to allocate resources and measure success
- Plan that outlines the resources and steps required to reach short- and long-term goals
Additional details
Hello!
Latino Outdoors is looking for some help in formulating a plan to return to outdoor programming in a post COVID-19 world. We already have the basics, but we need help in creating a more robust and detailed plan to present to fiscal sponsors, our board, our partners and our community.
What we have in place
- We currently have basic steps and a rough draft of a plan, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have time and energy, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,775 , allowing us to purchase COVID-19 related supplies ( face masks, hand sanitizer, gloves) to keep our volunteers and attendees healthy while on the trail with us.
We want to provide a safe and healthy plan for our community to return to the outdoors. The United States has 100 million people who do not have access to the outdoors within 10 minutes from their home. It is important to help return and connect people to outdoors in the current and post COVID-19 world.

Our mission
We bring cultura into the outdoor narrative and connect Latino communities and leadership with nature and outdoor experiences. We connect familias and youth with nature, engage and inspire Latino leadership, empower communities to explore and share their stories in defining the Latino Outdoors identity.
What we do
LO supports several regional teams across the country, each of which organizes on a local level to provide transformative outdoor experiences to traditionally underserved and underrepresented Latinx communities. Regional leaders are provided with a high level of autonomy to promote authenticity in their visions for their respective geographic program areas, each of which presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities for delivering culturally-relevant outdoors programming. The collective effort of regional teams empowers LO to advance organizational goals and objectives of outdoor equity.
