Individual Donor Letter
Individual Donor Letter
Project details
What we need
- A concise, well-articulated letter (not exceeding two pages) to request funds from individual donors
Additional details
We need a letter that speaks to the heart of our organization and why we need support especially given the impact of Covid-19 on our community. We need to effectively reach out to past, current and potential new donors as we continue our work with a new online interactive model, until we can safely offer in person classes and performances. We provide inclusive arts programming to individuals of all ages and abilities, needed now more than ever given impact of self isolation.
What we have in place
- We currently have samples of past donor letters and updated donor list, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have goals/outcomes and how specific programs are impacted, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,840 , allowing us to reinvest in our organization and members by reinventing our current education model to videotaped and online instruction/galleries, self contained art kits and zoom "reveals" and performances
We planned to update our letter this spring. In considering the impact of the pandemic and while serving on a non profit Covid recovery task force, it is clear that private and corporate donations will be highly competitive and likely to decrease significantly in 2020-2022. We would like to have a strong donation piece, letter , card, etc. that will convince our community to continue supporting individuals with disabilities and our mission.
Project plan
Our mission
CapeCodCAN provides creative and dynamic opportunities for inclusion and
active engagement in the visual and performing arts for individuals of all abilities,
specifically people diagnosed with physical, intellectual and/or
developmental challenges, inspiring them to explore, discover,
develop and share their talents.
Testimonials
Madeline was lovely to work with...enthusiastic and personable. She was well prepared and completed tasks within the promised timeline capturing the mission and spirit of CapeCodCAN perfectly. In total she created three letters, each directed to a specific donor...family member, past supporter and potential new donor, and all great. Madeline saved us time and resources, allowing us to instead focus on reimagining our direct service model as impacted by Covid-19. As a small organization we wear many hats, including development. It was nice to be able to pass this project onto a professional to complete. We thank Madeline for her work and wish her all the best in her next chapter.
Working with Malissa was fast and efficient. I really enjoyed this experience and feel as if both parties benefited.
