Compensation Plan
Compensation Plan
Project details
What we need
- Review of job descriptions, pay structure, internal value, competitive market data, non-monetary rewards and benefits
- Recommendations for updating staff compensation and incentive plans
Additional details
Assistance with reviewing the organization's structure and programs to determine the appropriate human resources and compensation needed to effectively execute programs and achieve the organization's mission. Needs include review of current job descriptions, writing new descriptions, research to determine appropriate pay range for positions, review of contractor vs. employee classification, input regarding non-salary benefits, etc.
What we have in place
- 1) Job description for most current or recent job roles
2) Spreadsheet listing proposed positions and duties by program
3) Compensation has been based on funding available through grants. The budgets for those programs can be shared.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,746 , allowing us to have more unrestricted funds to cover operational expenses.
This project is critical because the current structure of the organization is not sustainable. The Executive Director is the only full-time employee, thus her role extends far beyond ED duties. It is imperative that we determine what positions and how much money is needed to properly staff the organization. Then we can set realistic targets for fundraising and grant opportunities.

Our mission
The Alliance for African American Health in Central Texas' (AAAHCT) mission is to improve the health status of African Americans living in Central Texas. AAAHCT seeks to engage people at the grassroots level to identify issues and challenges individuals and families face in achieving optimal health and organizing with residents to address them.
What we do
Much of our work focuses on health promotion and disease prevention. Two examples are A Better Me (ABM) and Intergenerational Gardening Soul to Soul (IGS2). ABM assists individuals in setting and achieving physical activity and nutrition goals to prevent or better manage chronic diseases. IGS2 pairs youth teams, supervised by an adult, with a senior to build and maintain a vegetable garden at the seniors' home. This program also addresses food sovereignty and financial empowerment.
