Project details

What we need
  • Review of existing mission, vision and/or values
  • Analysis of the existing programs and any future plans
  • Strategic consultation surrounding the existing functions and the core needs the Organization seeks to address
  • Freshly written mission, vision & values statements
Additional details

This is primarily a naming/branding project. ISDD has an extremely long name which does not reflect its current core programming, providing support services to kinship families. We went through a re-branding in 2014, which traded one extremely long name for another (Institute for the Study of Disadvantage and Disability). In the last four years we have gone from providing 4 completely different programs serving completely different populations with no overlap to just one program/population.

What we have in place
  • We have a strategic plan developed in 2017, which is set to expire in 2020. We understand our current services and our constituency. We can provide background information on the history of the agency. We have a very strong sense of who we are and where we need to go. We just need help with expressing that.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,248 , allowing us to provide seven grandfamilies - grandparents (or other relatives) who are raising children with special needs -with a year's worth of services designed to make them strong and successful.

ISDD has gone from being all over the map in terms of programs and service populations to just one. We are sure about what we do and why, however, our current name and branding does not support our targeted programming. Our name has been a mouthful for 16 years and it is time to find a new one that is shorter and better represents the kinship services we provide along with corresponding branding/logo.
