I started Madre Latina 9yrs. ago. At that time. I learned that I need a mission statement. I knew what was the need of my community and I want to help. My mission statement is not what we are doing today. We need help! Our mission is not explaining our aspirations, our initiatives/programs and is not focusing on what is really important for our organization. We want a mission that reflects what we are doing in our community.
What we have in place
- We currently have current Mission Statement and Vision, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have information of the programs & initiatives that we are runni, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,248 , allowing us to connects with funders, partners and the community that we serve every day.

Our mission
Mission: is to promote and encourage the advancement of Hispanic mothers by providing training, technical assistance, and mentoring in order to pursue continuing education.
What we do
Is a 501(c)3, that was founded in 2011 by a group of Latinas who wanted to connect the Latino community with programs and services in Connecticut. It was incorporated in 2012 and is dedicated to improving the health, educational attainment, human welfare and opportunities for Latino families in Connecticut.
Madre Latina overall goals are to provide educational, health and lifelong learning opportunities for the Latino mothers and their families in a safe environment along with cultural awareness activities.
Madre Latina is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors representing parents, advocates, teachers, social workers, professionals, business and community leaders.
