Project details

What we need
  • A compelling narrative, or set of stories
  • Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
  • Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
  • Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
Additional details

We are looking at updating our narrative to be more donor-centric rather than feature centric or data-centric. As we have grown we have diverged from a consistent way of talking about what we do in a way that resonates with donor audiences. We would love to have consistent copy for our website as well as concise story narrative for an "elevator pitch" that helps donors understand how supporting Nuru's efforts is of benefit and fulfilling to them.

What we have in place
  • We currently have some "StoryBrand" work we have been doing internally., which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have tons of impact data, and prior annual reports, etc., and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to better support efforts on the ground to serve African farmers and their families.

Our staff need a consistent framework and way of telling our story that resonates with donors, and does not lean heavily on our founder's story. Currently, our website and other materials are dated in their approach. They are not only inaccurate, but they are not donor-centric. We want to reach over a million people with our programs over the next 5-7 years, but without a compelling narrative that engages donors and invites them to join/fund our efforts, that vision will not become a reality.
