What we need
  • Significant update to Organization’s existing CMS website, such as adding a new page, customizing a theme, adjusting layout, etc.
  • Smaller update to Organization's non-CMS website
Additional details

We just launched our website which was created using WORDPRESS a few months ago. Now that it is live we need to make a number of tweaks and adjustments. We need to get specific pages dedicated to Covid-19 supports up and running among other tweaks and smaller edits. We are looking for someone who has expertise in WORDPRESS.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a key staff member who is well-versed in what the issues are, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a list of specific changes we would like made, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,586 , allowing us to focus on supporting students, staff, parents and schools in this super challenging time.

We support schools (k-12) in creating environments where all feel safe, respected, and supported. Having a positive social and emotional climate and strong social-emotional skills have never been more important than now. Teachers are struggling with everything that is being asked of them in this new Covid-19 world, students and families are challenged in many many ways. We have had to flip how we support schools and students (everything is now virtual) and our website is increasingly important.

Prep: Share Scope of Changes
  • Volunteer Manager shares link to existing website with Professional
  • Volunteer Manager provides list of required updates to make (including sharing content or image assets, as necessary)
  • Both parties review our pro-tips for Organizations and Volunteers to ensure the project is set up for success

Milestone 1: Kick-Off Meeting
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss requested updates, and agree on a project timeline
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with credentials to access the website admin portal

Milestone 2: Review Updates
  • Professional makes the requested updates to the website (if available, the changes should be made in a test or development environment first)
  • Volunteer Manager reviews each update, and reports any remaining issues to the Professional

Milestone 3: Implementation of Updates
  • Professional implements updates to the live website
  • Professional troubleshoots any issues that may arise immediately after implementing changes on the live site
