Project details

What we need
  • Thorough review of the existing communication and marketing materials to ensure writing is understandable, engaging and consistent
  • Edits conducted with respect to writing style, voice, length, and proper spelling and grammar
  • Revised materials should adhere to branding, communications and marketing goals
Additional details

We are an organization that seeks to prevent child sexual abuse by educating children about body safety. We are seeking a review of our brochures, sponsor packet, website, sample grant application, fundraising appeal letters to see if they effectively convey our mission, our program, and our needs, or if they are "all over the map."

What we have in place
  • We currently have website, brochures, sponsorship packet, fundraising ltrs, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have grant application narrative sample, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to reach more children in elementary schools with our prevention program.

We deal with one of the most difficult and sensitive issues - child sexual abuse. Do our communication materials adequately convey the seriousness of the issue, and the impact on the community? Are our donor appeals persuasive enough to encourage people to give? Can we make our case more easily understood... more compelling? Do we answer enough questions for the reader?

Our mission

Stop Abuse, Inc.'s mission is to prevent child sexual abuse through education, detection and referral.

What we do

Stop Abuse's award winning marionette program, "Simon Says Just Tell" teaches children to recognize, prevent and disclose abuse in a non-threatening environment. Thousands of cases of abuse have been prevented and hundreds of child molesters have been successfully prosecuted and imprisoned as a result of this program.

Testimonials

Stop Abuse, Inc. selected Anesa from a number of very good candidates to work on the Communications Materials Audit project. We were not only attracted by her branding, writing, marketing and communications qualifications, her passion for helping social organizations was an added plus. After what seemed like a document dump from us (donor appeal letters, grants, marketing collateral, etc.), Anesa thoroughly reviewed the materials and delivered suggestions and edits that will help make our materials more understandable, engaging, and effective. We were so impressed with Anesa's work, we asked her to stay on and assist with revamping our agency brochures.

Communication Materials Audit Project

A truly wonderful organization doing amazing things for children! Child sexual abuse is such a taboo subject in our culture and Regina and Patricia are beautiful souls doing their utmost to reach as many children with the confidence, tools and support necessary to speak out. It was truly lovely to be a part of their team, and I would recommend the organization wholeheartedly to partners and donors!
