Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Website Construction (CMS-Based)
Project details
What we need
- Development of a new website using a Content Management System (CMS)
- Training to ensure Organization's staff members can update content and manage the site post-launch
- Note: This project is for a website built with a Content Management System (CMS), such as Wordpress, Squarespace, Joomla, Drupal, or Weebly . A CMS-based website can be maintained and updated easily (no coding required!)
Additional details
On our current website we hold a historic archive that showcases the work we have presented for the last 50 years. This archive was build by another party and want this archive to migrate/be kept in our new website.
What we have in place
- I'm not sure what to offer in terms of resources. I think a one-on-one call would be extremely helpful to better understand the resources we might already have on hand.
How this will help
This project will save us $16,822 , allowing us to stay connected with our community. It will also provide a platform for our Capital Campaign, which will enable us to raise the necessary monies needed to stabilize our organization.
The last two years we have been dealing with the instability after being displaced. When forced to move to another location, the limited funds were invested into the actual site for tenant improvements. As we prepare for the future, we are in need to update our public facing image and communications. We need to have a website platform that is easy to update. By having these resources readily available to us, we can once again engage audiences.
Project plan
Our mission
Founded in 1970, Galeria de la Raza | Studio 24 is a non-profit dedicated to promoting Xicanx/Latinx art and culture. Our "creative place keeping" ethos is rooted in social inclusion and justice, where community arts are central to navigating the complex intersection of urban development, social inequality, affordable housing, and the historical-cultural legacies of communities of color. To implement our mission, the Galeria supports Latinx artists in the visual, literary, media, and performingart fields whose works explore new aesthetic possibilities for socially committed art.
