Project details

What we need
  • An easily understood visual aid that communicates complex information
  • A high-resolution version of the Infographic in the Organization’s preferred format
Additional details

We need a graphic for our website that will show progress in our capital campaign. We are a soccer organization, so we envision a goal filling up with soccer balls!

Our (very old) website does not accommodate widgets, so we will have to upload updated versions of the graphic as the campaign progresses. Thus we either need something that we can update ourselves, or multiple versions of the graphic showing incremental progress toward our goal (e.g. 70%, 80%, 90%, 100%, 110%).

What we have in place
  • We have an existing website, style guide, and other graphic materials that provide guidance for the kind of look we're aiming for. We can also provide details about the target audience.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to invest more of our capital campaign funds into making critical renovations to our building and increasing capacity to provide low and no-cost, high-quality programs.

This project will help us create an effective web presence - to motivate, inspire, and inform donors - for our Campaign for Starfinder. The campaign is funding critical improvements to our facility and investments in our operations so that we can serve youth better.

We are 80% of the way to our $1.25 million goal, and we're about to launch a big final public push to finish the campaign. The campaign progress graphic will help keep everyone motivated!

Our mission

Starfinder uses soccer as the catalyst to transform the lives of youth from underserved neighborhoods through deep programming, supportive mentorship, and a tight-knit community.

We inspire real social change: one kid at a time.

Our Values
All kids deserve to learn, grow, and thrive. Every young person deserves the support systems and access to opportunity that will help them achieve their full potential, regardless of their race, religion, gender, economic background, sexual orientation, immigration status, or other individual differences.
A strong community is our greatest asset. A sense of belonging is a powerful thing. Strong relationships and deep connections are the foundation upon which positive identity and purpose are built. We engage youth in creating an intentional culture that invites, challenges, and supports them to be their best selves.
Young people have a great deal to contribute. We value young people's life experiences, talents, and abilities. By identifying, amplifying, and activating their strengths, we help youth become the next generation of leaders.
Soccer is a powerful vehicle for youth development. Its global popularity engages young people from all backgrounds. The valuable skills learned in "The Beautiful Game" - such as hard work, discipline, and teamwork - become assets for life beyond the game.
Play makes life better. Play helps us connect with each other, be more present, be more creative, and relieve stress. Fun is a great motivator and confidence builder. Through play, we build stronger relationships and improve our quality of life.

Soccer for Social Change...Leadership Beyond the Game.

What we do

Starfinder motivates and challenges children and youth from across Greater Philadelphia through after school and summer programs. We use soccer as the hook in our sports-based youth development practices to promote physical and emotional health and long-term success.

We heavily invest in each Starfinder participant, surrounding them with a supportive network of mentors and coaches. We help youth navigate the path to college and careers.

Our students come from all over the Philadelphia metro area, speaking over 25 different languages, to form a collaborative community of cultural exchange around the beautiful game.

With the help of generous donors and volunteers, we help kids change the trajectory of their lives, using soccer to create social change.

Our three areas of emphasis are:
Health & Physical Fitness
Future Focus
Social Emotional Well-Being

Testimonials

Rosemary was wonderful - responsive, creative, and willing to take on new challenges. Due to COVID-19 we had to cancel the project she was working on. However, we would happily work with her again should the opportunity arise.
