Salesforce Database Customization.

Project details

What we need
  • A Salesforce expert who has previous experience with the Salesforce Nonprofit Stater Pack edition
  • Assistance with our existing Salesforce database to create: customized objects, single-record editing of data and field history tracking, a customized set of views to allow table-based editing of data, a customized set of reports to pull data from multiple object types
  • Migration of our current data into Salesforce
  • Training for designated staff member on new objects, reports and views
  • "Hand-off" documentation on the object schemas and any custom code
What we have in place
  • We currently have a Salesforce instance running the Nonprofit Stater Pack, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have our data prepared in spreadsheets with column headers that match Salesforce objects, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $12,000 , allowing us to provide music and confidence boosting programs to 500 girls and women in and around Seattle.

Rain City Rock Camp for Girls is dedicated to building positive self-esteem in girls and encouraging creative expression through music. Our music education programs provide girls with an opportunity to participate in an environment that fosters leadership, encourages social change, and cultivates a supportive community of female peers and mentors.

We were founded in 2008 and we continue to expand our programming to reach more girls and women and expect that a solid CRM with accurate and easy to find information will help us achieve that through better and more targeted outreach.

Our mission

Rain City Rock Camp for Girls is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to building positive self-esteem in girls and encouraging creative expression through music. Our music education programs provide girls with an opportunity to participate in an environment that fosters leadership, encourages social change, and cultivates a supportive community of female peers and mentors.

What we do

Our flagship program is a summer camp for girls ages 8-17. Girls come for a weeklong crash course in playing an instrument, songwriting, empowerment workshops like media literacy and self-defense, DIY promotion and more. At the end of the week, campers get to perform their original song with their band at a local live music venue - usually one of the best in town. We typically serve 120 girls per year. Since we started in 2008, we have served nearly 500 girls.

This year we are starting a new program for girls ages 14-17 with prior music experience. Teens come for a weeklong intensive study of playing in a band, songwriting, music business and empowerment workshops, off-site trips to studios & venues, and more! At the end of the week, participants get to record their original song with their band for a final program compilation CD.

Finally, many of our volunteers wish that Rock Camp was around when they were girls. To that end, we offer Ladies Rock Camp - a weekend day camp at that serves as a fundraiser for Rain City Rock Camp for Girls. Participants choose an instrument, receive instruction, form a band, and work together to write an original song that they play at the Hard Rock Cafe on Sunday.

We are a part of the Girls Rock Camp Alliance - and international coalition of like minded organizations that follow and build on the model started by Portland's Rock N Roll Camp 4 Girls in 2000.

“I truly believe that what this organization is doing for girls is monumental and vital.” - Parent, April 2011.

"Thank you for the incredible experience my daughter and her best friend are having at Rain City Rock this year. Camp is like an amplifier of the soul for them!” - Parent, July 2011.

"I truly wish every girl on the planet could have the experience offered by Rain City Rock Camp. Nothing better as a soul-stirring, confidence-building, creative outlet.” - Parent, February 2012.
