What we need
- An easily understood visual aid that communicates complex information
- A high-resolution version of the Infographic in the Organization’s preferred format
Additional details
2-3 infographics needed. One of the infographics will help explain what a guestworker program is. It will illustrate the process of how workers in Mexico learn about jobs in the U.S., acquire a visa tied to their employer, and arrive to the different industries in Maryland. An additional infographic will illustrate the key factors (problems such as recruitment fraud, discrimination etc) encountered by migrant workers in the guestworker program that facilitate vulnerability to human trafficking.
What we have in place
- We currently have logo, data, statistics needed for the graphics, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have our Comms Coordinator who will support closely if needed, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,607 , allowing us to advance migrant justice in the state of Maryland.
While hundreds of thousands of workers come to the U.S. under these programs, the program's inherent flaws facilitate conditions of exploitation and forced labor. These infographics will help us introduce allies, lawmakers, and supporters to the main issues faced by migrant workers in the state of Maryland to raise awareness and build support.

Centro de los Derechos del Migrante, Inc. supports Mexico-based migrant workers to defend and protect their rights as they move between their home communities in Mexico and their workplaces in the United States. With our binational, multilingual staff and geographic reach we have grown in response to increasing needs for its advocacy and services and seek to overcome the border as a barrier to justice.
