Facilitated Strategy Session
Facilitated Strategy Session
Project details
What we need
- Expert third party advice on process or managerial changes, geographic or programmatic expansion, potential pivots, or general strategic planning
- Facilitation of an intensive, one-day strategic planning session with staff and/or Board
- Note: If necessary, a follow-up strategic planning session may be scheduled
Additional details
We are a 150 employee 15 million dollar not for profit that is seeking assistance with our strategic plan. We are in the process of accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). We have very specific guidelines that must be met in the plan in order to meet the CARF requirements. Some of these requirements include:
* Expectations of people served and stakeholders
* Information on competitors
* Financial threats/opportunities
What we have in place
- We currently have a team of people to work on the project, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have An outline of what is required by CARF., and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,465 , allowing us to to use the money to pay for the accreditation which is not allocated in our state budget but yet required.
Centerboard is embarking on an intense accreditation process of which the strategic plan is an integral piece. Without this accreditation we would not meet the requirements of the Family First Act and we would have to close programming and layoff staff. Not to mention that the youth we serve in these programs would be displaced. We have not had a strategic plan for the last 10 years. The outline of this project would ensure that we complete a review and update annually.
Project plan
Our mission
We are a nonprofit human services organization located downtown Lynn, MA. Our mission is to revitalize our community by investing in its people and places. We support families and young people through housing, access to employment, education and financial empowerment. In addition, Centerboard is invested in Lynn's creative economy by spearheading public art projects and running the non-profit gallery Visionspace.
What we do
We house homeless families until they find permanent housing. In addition we house youth who can not live at home or who are young parents. Our Family Resource Center works with youth and families who are involved in or on the brink on involvement with the juvenile justice system. We also provide mentor services and outreach to young adults who are being sexually exploited.
