Project details

What we need
  • Assessment of specific Organizational needs mapped to specific board roles
  • Candidate evaluation guide for prospective board members, including suggested vetting questions and timeline
  • Marketing tools and guidance on how to execute recruitment
  • Note: This project does not include actual board recruitment on the part of the Professional
Additional details

The Urban Peace Institute is a fiscally sponsored project, and is seeking to become an independent organization. As we make this transition, UPI will be formalizing its Advisory Board into a formal Board of Directors, and recruiting additional members to join our Board of Directors. A formal board recruitment plan will be instrumental in helping our organization assess our leadership needs and begin recruitment plans.

What we have in place
  • We currently have motivated senior leadership team, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a dedicated Development and Communications Manager, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,822 , allowing us to invest our resources directly into our programs to build community leadership and safety.

This project will help UPI define its upcoming strategies and needed recruitment tools to enhance its Board of Directors. This enhanced leadership will help UPI be more successful in reaching its overall goals of ending gun and gang violence, and well as promoting safety in underserved communities.
