- Development of a list of prospects (up to 15) that fit that ideal funder profile, including contact information when applicable and list of sources

Additional details
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson ("BGCT") currently has one part-time grant writer who works remotely to research and apply for funding opportunities. We have a growing list of prospective funders, and we could use some assistance in paring down this list to include only funders that would be a great fit. This project is perfect for someone who enjoys research, has general fundraising knowledge (or simply wants to learn more), and has a passion for helping at-risk youth!
What we have in place
- We currently have a long list of prospective funders, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a dedicated staff person to answer your questions, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,494 , allowing us to allowing us to instead redirect those funds to offer Club membership scholarships to 124 at-risk youth in need!
Despite common misconception, we are almost entirely privately funded and receive no special funding from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Any support - regardless of size or form - is greatly appreciated. As we continue to recover from 2008 recession budget cuts, we are always searching for new funding opportunities to help us serve more kids in need. A dedicated grants volunteer can help us conduct this research, placing us in a better position in 2020 to reach more deserving youth.

The mission of Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson is to provide young people in our community, especially those who need us most, with a clear path to reach their full potential and pursue their dreams.
What we do
BGCT's 6 Clubhouses offer 40+ after-school and summer programs to more than 12,000 at-risk youth each year.
