What we need
  • Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
  • Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
What we have in place
  • We currently have theory of change, mission statement, job description, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have staff who can support in the employee handbook, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to directly put this money into programming.

We are grateful to have the opportunity to move from an all volunteer organization to contractors to know staff! As such, we want to make sure that we are building good infrastructure to support our staff so that they are familiar with our practices and our culture.

Our mission

Mycelium Youth Network is a environmental and social justice organization dedicated to ensuring young people have the tools, vision and passion to survive and thrive in a climate-challenged world. Our mission is to educate young people on building sustainable communities while maintaining personal and environmental health in the face of climate change. Drawing from local indigenous traditions and visionary imaginings, our Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math (STEAM) based curriculum offers customizable workshops and trainings that teach youth strategies to address ecological degradation, as well as techniques to enhance their ability to respond to environmental emergencies efficiently and effectively.
