What we need
  • A high-resolution digital version of an illustration that can be used across multiple channels (web, print, and/or merchandising)
Additional details

We're updating the manual for our PTSD program for military veterans, and we need new versions of some of the illustrations in the manual.

What we have in place
  • We currently have some existing illustrations, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have examples of what we want the new illustrations to look like, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to hire more military veterans to work for our organization.

Our program is expanding and we need an updated manual to train more of our program facilitators more efficiently.

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager sends Professional existing branding or marketing materials
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with relevant background information on the Organization, mission, and core values

Milestone 1: Brainstorm
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager meet to discuss goals, target audience, and how the illustration will be utilized
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional align expectations for the initial drawings and agree upon a timeline

Milestone 2: Preliminary Sketching
  • Professional drafts and presents three concepts for the Organization’s illustration
  • Volunteer Manager chooses a favorite concept and provides up to two rounds of feedback, which the Professional uses to refine the Illustration

Milestone 3: Presentation of Deliverables
  • Professional delivers a final version of the Illustration in digital form

Our mission

DE-CRUIT is an scientifically-based program designed to help military veterans overcome the obstacles of transitioning from military service back into their communities. Countering the military's intense indoctrination and training, DE-CRUIT uses routinized techniques derived from principles of actor training (e.g., experiential analysis, symbolic representation, spoken verse) to transform military camaraderie into camaraderie among program members in order to heal the effects of trauma. The DE-CRUIT model combines these techniques with proven treatment elements from state-of-the-art psychotherapeutic approaches to support veterans in their transition to civilian life.
