Eastern Michigan University's Center for the Advancement of Neurobehavioral Health is a team of faculty and graduate students in clinical psychology dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with cognitive loss and their families through research and clinical service.
We are funded by the Michigan Health Endowment Fund to initiate a program for family caregivers of individuals with cognitive loss in Southeastern Michigan. The program (1) equips caregivers to manage high-stress situations through individualized, home-based assessments and DBT skills training groups; and (2) will develop and implement a screening tool for providers, to quickly identify families who would benefit from additional support. This program is funded from May 2019 to April 2021.
