Project details
What we need
- A written analysis of the Organization's position in the community it serves and its ability to address identified needs/problems for its beneficiaries
- A summary of the Organization's strengths and weaknesses, related to its program goals as needed
- A summary of competitors or potential collaborators
- An appendix of all data gathered to perform analysis, including sources
Additional details
We provide aviation programs, activities and support services for students interested in STEM. Due to the need to build capacity for a sustainable aviation talent pipeline we need to assess our competitors, strategic partnerships, sponsors, donors and funding streams. Our target audience are airports, airlines, aircraft manufacturers and technologies, air traffic control, transportation agencies, state and local government and academic establishments.
What we have in place
- We currently have a strategic plan, collaborators list, copy used for grants, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a list of potential collaborators, industry stats, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $10,948 , allowing us to redirect our limited resources to our youth programs so the we can continue to offer them for free, or at a reduced rate, for our underserved families.
We have had incredible success and visibility with media outlets and industry recognition. We have not been able to capitalize on that success due to the lack of strategy around identifying the right partners, collaborators and methods to develop diverse funding streams that support our program goals.
Project plan
Our mission
AeroStar's mission is to enhance, promote and support the academic awareness of aviation and aeronautical career path opportunities for students, particularly female, minority, underprivileged and at-risk youth. By providing aviation academic curriculum development, programs, activities and support services for youth Grades K-12, interested in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math, AeroStar has paved the way for the future of our industry. Due to the need to build capacity for a sustainable aviation talent pipeline through strategic partnerships, sponsors, donors and grants, The AeroStar Avion Institute Non Profit was formed.
What we do
The AeroStar Avion Institute delivers programs that teach skills necessary to not just participate, but LEAD in the next generation of STEM innovation. Students are immersed in inquiry-based learning, engineering design projects, they operate flight simulators, remote controlled helicopters, drones, RC airplanes and VR headsets. They also build model airplanes and rockets to specifications. They study and demonstrate extensive knowledge on flight theory, aviation weather, aircraft radio operation, aircraft cockpit instrumentation and STEM careers. We soar above other programs because we provide years of ongoing support to students interested in pursuing pathways in Aviation/STEM.
