Membership Strategy
Membership Strategy
Project details
What we need
- A Membership Strategy document of 2-4 pages, including analysis of the Organization’s current membership program, step-by-step guide to a new or improved program, growth goals and creative outreach strategies
Additional details
We are looking into developing a new fundraising program, that functions a lot like membership. We are trying to encourage a sustaining donor program that has the same impact of a membership program, just on a higher fundraising scale. We want to build this out so that our board members could use the program to make their fundraising efforts more sustainable. We are planning on $1,200 commitment with monthly autopay and an associated, "Defender of the Glades" description.
What we have in place
- We currently have a broad outline of what the program would look like, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a name and an amount for the fundraising membership, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,848 , allowing us to build a campaign that will sustainably support us and help our board members in their efforts to raise money for our organization.
We would be able to fully fund our foundational expenses by supporting our board through this program, which allows each board member to acquire pledges to give throughout the program.

Our mission
Friends of the Everglades is a nonprofit founded in 1969 by renowned journalist, author, and environmental activist Marjory Stoneman Douglas dedicated to preserving, protecting, and restoring the only Everglades in the world.
What we do
"Be a nuisance where it counts. Do your part to inform and stimulate the public to join your action. Be depressed, discouraged, and disappointed at failure and the disheartening effects of ignorance, greed, corruption, and bad politics--but never give up." - Marjory Stoneman Douglas
