Project details

What we need
  • Document outlining relationship of board to your organization and metrics of board success
  • Document outlining scope of roles within board, including empty seats if applicable
Additional details

We are launching a merged organization and the boards are combining. We are also forming a "legacy" board called an Advisory Board/Council. I would like help framing the responsibilities of each as well as revamping board job descriptions and roles. The by-laws will be updated and legally approved by our merger lawyer by the second week of December. I have a luncheon on Dec. 12th to launch the Advisory Council and would love help.

What we have in place
  • We currently have dedicated board members and historic documents to build from, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have urgency and momentum, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,972 , allowing us to to fund our part-time grant writer for three months increasing our capacity to access additional resources for our core programming.

We are seeking to form a statewide force for the common good of all kids across the state and need professional board documents for our desired statewide reach.

Our mission

Our Children Oregon is committed to advancing the common good of all Oregon children, ensuring all children have the resources and opportunities they need to reach their full potential.

What we do

Our Children Oregon is advancing equitable policymaking and whole-child advocacy statewide to ensure our children and youth have what they need, regardless of their race or where they live, to thrive by activating meaningful change for children and families.

We partner alongside organizations to uplift and advocate for community-driven, equity-centered policies and investments that will improve the lives of Oregon's children and families. We work with a network of service providers to strengthen family supports by addressing the root causes of child abuse. We collect, analyze, and elevate data and research, that alongside lived expertise drives conversations in support of Oregon's future. And we engage Oregon youth and communities through education and action opportunities.
