Project details

What we need
  • A concise, well-articulated letter (not exceeding two pages) to request funds from individual donors
Additional details

I need help with creating a compelling message that inspires donors and volunteers to give, and selecting the best pictures for use in the letter.

What we have in place
  • We currently have past request letters, student stories and student pictures, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have data on past fundraising results, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,240 , allowing us to get expert help on a very critical project. We don't have a budget for outside consultants, so this fills a need that we wouldn't otherwise be able to access.

With this year's fundraising letter, I'm hoping to increase the number of individual gifts and total dollar amount we raise this year. We are in the middle of bringing new students into our program for the year, and increased funding will help us induct more students this winter.

Our mission

Our mission is to provide six years of educational and cultural experiences to academically motivated, but economically disadvantaged students, starting in the 7th grade, to promote college access and a lifetime of success.

What we do

PSP's work helps to close the educational opportunity gap for low-income, under-served students, providing them with resources and experiences that are routinely available to their more affluent peers but that they would otherwise lack themselves. Through our single, impactful Scholars Program, we provide:
* Meaningful adult mentorship.
* Educational and cultural enrichment activities that enhance scholars' ability to compete for and succeed in higher education.
* College-access and financial-aid guidance and support.

The resources and services we offer help our scholars enter college, obtain a college degree and begin on the path to brighter futures -- and we have consistently achieved strong results

Testimonials

Stacy was incredibly helpful - she provided me with a mix of strategic advice about my fundraising strategy, along with hands-on help with crafting multiple messages. She was wonderful to work with and I'd work with her again in a heartbeat.

Extraordinarily fulfilling - more-so than I could have ever imagined. It has been my pleasure to help PSP ... and become a donor.
