What we need
- Document outlining relationship of board to your organization and metrics of board success
- Document outlining scope of roles within board, including empty seats if applicable
Additional details
We have developed a basic organizational structure and some rudimentary job descriptions - we specifically need documents to use for recruiting new Board members.
What we have in place
- We currently have Bylaws, vision and mission statements, basic strategic plan, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have commitment from Treasurer, Artistic Dir. & Managing Dir., and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,330 , allowing us to establish a Board that focuses on fundraising and strategic planning
Our current Board is small (three) and over-burdened. We would like a more robust definition of Board member roles, responsibilities, and expectations so as to have a platform for adding six new qualified Board members by June 30, 2020.

Our mission
Winding Road Theater Ensemble's mission is to tell dynamic, theatrical stories that illuminate the human condition and celebrate the theater's power to entertain us, to move us, and to bring us joy, with a special commitment to developing new work by American playwrights. We fulfill our mission by producing seasons of contemporary and classic works representing diverse styles, themes, and perspectives, and by presenting readings, workshops, and full productions of new plays.
What we do
Winding Road presents a main stage series of plays as well as a reading stage series of plays each season.

Jean Dorak is a great collaborator - knowledgeable, responsive, and thorough. They asked the right questions and were able to catch on to my organization's challenges pretty quickly. We went through a few rounds of editing on the deliverable, all of which was done by building on many of our existing materials and information. The final Board Structures document puts us in a much better position to present ourselves to prospective board members.
