Video Editing
Video Editing
Project details
What we need
- An edited 1-3 minute video delivered in electronic format as agreed upon between the Professional and Organization, with HD quality as a master version, along with any agreed upon formats for final usage
Additional details
Building Tomorrow is creating a video resource library on inclusive education techniques for Ugandan educators. The library will include 10 videos. Video editing is complete but for one final task for volunteer: adding animated text to highlight key points in the videos. An example of a finalized video and intro text highlights will be provided; remaining text highlights will be up to volunteer's discretion. This project is for completion of 1 video, with potential to partner on remaining videos
What we have in place
- We currently have 8 nearly finalized videos that only need text animations added by the volunteer to highlight key points in the videos. Project is for completion of 1 video, with potential to partner on the remaining videos. We will provide an example of an already finalized video for the volunteer to see our preferences for a finalized product. We will also provide intro text to be highlighted in the video, but remaining text highlights will be left up to volunteer's discretion.
How this will help
This project will save us $10,262 , allowing us to ensure over 200 students of varying abilities know how to read and do basic math by participating in our literacy and numeracy camps.
This project will help educators in Uganda provide students with an inclusive educational environment. The videos describe techniques educators can use in their classrooms to include all students of varying abilities, so no child misses out on essential learning. Through this project, the volunteer will help complete the video resource library for educators.

Our mission
Building Tomorrow galvanizes communities to support thriving schools in underserved areas.
What we do
Building Tomorrow improves access to child-friendly, community-supported schools by providing an inclusive, quality education for underserved children in East Africa. Through our Thriving Schools program, we deploy Building Tomorrow Fellows who recruit and train Community Education Volunteers, together bringing out-of-school children into the classroom while working with school leadership to ensure access to a quality, inclusive school environment. We also work hand-in-hand with local communities, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education to construct new primary schools where no formal primary school exists.
Testimonials
Thomas was a pleasure to work with and provided high quality editing and text animations for Building Tomorrow's inclusive education video series. He was easy to communicate with and adaptable to our needs throughout the project. He worked well within the open-ended nature of some project requirements, and was responsive to feedback. I would definitely recommend Thomas for similar video editing projects.
Building Tomorrow is doing great work and it was a pleasure to be able to use my skills on this project. Their team was very clear on the goals they wanted to be accomplished. I am happy to have been able to have a large impact on a project of this scale that will be used for such a great cause.
