Tech Systems Set Up
Tech Systems Set Up
Project details
What we need
- Implementation of Tech Systems Review or equivalent technology systems plan
Additional details
I'm writing from the International Pole and Line Foundation (IPNLF). We support small-scale fisheries who catch tuna one-by-one using a fishing pole or handline. We help them increase their capacity and quality so they have better market access. We are also a membership organisation consisting of buyers and other supply chain stakeholders. We would like to set up a DAM system to curate our images and videos and have selected ResourceSpace. We need a professional to help us set up and integrate.
What we have in place
- We currently have all images and videos stored in a hard drive and dropbox., which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have our own website hosted by one of our members., and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,926 , allowing us to upgrade our IT infrastructure and tools. We are currently collaborating via Google docs and would like to develop our own intranet.
We work with many stakeholders: tuna fisheries, buyers, retailers, like-minded NGOs, (inter)government agencies, and policy makers. We have collected 1000s of images and some videos. Our team is spread out in Europe, South Africa, Indonesia, the Pacific, USA and we regularly exchange digital assets to prepare our proposals and advocacy documents. We also offer our members use of a photo bank, which is a great value to them. A media library will make these tasks more efficient.

Our mission
The International Pole & Line Foundation (IPNLF) works to develop, support and promote socially and environmentally responsible pole-and-line and handline tuna fisheries around the world. IPNLF's ambition is to contribute to thriving coastal fisheries, including the people, communities, businesses and seas connected with them. We are an international charity working across science, policy and the seafood sector. We use the influence of the market to develop and demonstrate the value of one-by-one caught tuna to thriving coastal fisheries, and the people and seas they connect..
