Organization Press Kit
Organization Press Kit
Project details
What we need
- An organized and edited press kit for your Organization that contains and consolidates key media assets, such as: Your organization's backgrounder (an “about us" page), short biographies of senior staff, FAQs and an organizational fact sheet, logo(s) and other visual branding assets, relevant press release(s) and related media coverage, and contact information
- Note: This project does not include writing materials or creating visual assets from scratch
Additional details
We have never had any sort of press kit, despite having produced many materials about our organization. We would also ideally like some help compiling basic press pitches and a pipeline of press outlets (local, national, regional, international, mostly subject-specific) to send this press kit to!
What we have in place
- We currently have an exec summary, a one-pager, high quality images,, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have press cuttings of previous articles published on various med, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,792 , allowing us to train 40 youth and women as sales agents of clean energy products so they can earn a safe, sustainable income for themselves and their families!
We are doing great work, and everyone who knows about it says so! Problem is, not enough people know about it, and we're often so busy fundraising, budgeting, managing operations, and innovating within our programs, we don't take the time to tell people about it! This can actually help us attract more funding, volunteers, and potential partnerships in the future.
Project plan
Our mission
Our mission is to create livelihoods for youth in urban slums in Kenya. Our vision is a world in which youth can work their way out of poverty.
What we do
After interviewing 278 young people in Nairobi slums, we learned they were all selling whatever they could in order to survive. We leverage those existing skills to employ youth at what they are good at – sales. We create livelihoods by recruiting young people into a training and employment program where they learn valuable business and professional skills and earn an income selling life-changing products in their communities. This work gives youth living in poverty the chance to develop skills, build confidence and earn a dignified livelihood.
