Event Slideshow Creation
Event Slideshow Creation
Project details
What we need
- Creation or update of a slideshow no longer than 3 minutes including photos, title and end pages, and music accompaniment
- Curated collection of photos for press and media coverage
Additional details
We would like support in developing a slideshow of organizational photos & blurbs for our org's 10th year Anniversary Celebration event, which will be held on 11/12. We are not yet sure how long we'd like the slideshow to be, but we'd like it to circulate throughout most of the event. The entire event will be 2 hours, with ~45 minutes dedicated to different speakers. On the pages that have photos, we'd like for there to possibly be some text describing the event that is being shown (TBD).
What we have in place
- We currently have photos, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have context/details for the photos, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,129 , allowing us to sustain all of the amazing food justice work that we do (fighting for better school food, food justice + gentrification projects, more values-driven food procurement by public agencies, etc)!
This event is being held to commemorate our 10th anniversary and our 'Vision 2020' which will highlight our future org goals. We will be inviting various partners and elected officials to celebrate the last 10 years, but also inviting funders with the hope that they will choose to support our work moving forward. We want the slideshow to help paint a picture of all the amazing things that our 'small but mighty' team has accomplished in the world of food justice/policy!
Project plan
Our mission
Community Food Advocates (CFA) is a policy impact organization working to reform policies and programs relating to food and income so they are more equitable and accessible to low-income New Yorkers. Core to our mission is ensuring that communities most directly impacted by these policies and programs play a leading role in the advocacy process.
What we do
CFA works to expand and improve child nutrition programs to support children’s health and learning capacity, and increase access to nutritious food for all New Yorkers, especially the two million living in poverty.
CFA specifically focuses on New York City’s School Breakfast and Lunch Programs in public schools; the Summer Food Service Program; and WIC (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children), seeking innovative ways to increase participation in these programs. One of our major initiatives is the “Lunch 4 Learning” campaign, launched 3 years ago to fight for universal free school lunch for all New York City public school students.
Testimonials
It was wonderful working with Laura on our slideshow project! She was very receptive to our feedback, had lots of ideas, stayed in touch, and always took care of our needs. We truly appreciated her services!
Community Food Advocates were a joy to volunteer for. They provided timely responses and feedback, and your main contact, Ribka, is warm and professional to communicate with.
