Project details

What we need
  • Personalized feedback and up to 5 coaching sessions with one member of the Organization
  • Document outlining strengths, weaknesses, and suggested next steps and/or resources for the member
Additional details

We need someone to help us improve our public speaking skills! We have a gala coming up in November at which we will be speaking. Help us!

What we have in place
  • We have some videos of speeches and presentations we have done in the past to help you get started!
How this will help
This project will save us $8,660 , allowing us to open up an entire coding class in San Francisco.

Effective public speakers are more motivational than non-effective ones. We want to get our mission across to funders so that we can keep our programs running!

Our mission

Mission Bit is dedicated to inspiring and empowering students to unlock their full potential. We build professional pathways for under resourced high school youth across the SF Bay Area by making computer science more accessible through our free project-based courses.

What we do

Mission Bit provides free after-school coding courses, workshops, and summer bootcamps to high school students from underserved and underrepresented communities. We offer our students a field trip to a Bay Area tech company, career and college advising related to the technology field, and an opportunity to showcase their group projects to a large community of supporters during our Demo Day event at the end of the term.

Our program's inclusive community fosters positive relationships between students, their peers, and our experienced classroom leaders. Mission Bit brings like-minded individuals together to form long-lasting meaningful connections and gives students all the tools they need to succeed in the tech industry.

Testimonials

Kim is amazing! She has a lot of great insight into public speaking and really helped us prepare for our gala. From the beginning, Kim was enthusiastic and took us under her wing. She consistently showed that she cares about our organization and our work. Thank you for all you do, Kim!

Director of Programs

Public Speaking Coach Project

Mission Bit is a phenomenal organization. They provide free programming classes to children that would not typically have access. They have changed the trajectory of many lives, and have worked with 3,800+ kids. Christina, the CEO is amazing. The kids are funny, bright, and engaging. Any money provided to Mission Bit allows for more free programing classes to kids.
