What we'd like to talk about
I'd like advice from accountant regarding sales taxes of fundraising art auction in D.C.. Our organization is in VA. Dealing with galleries & artists in other states. Event on Oct. 19. Thank you!
Additional context
This is 1st time we do an art auction & am getting conflicting information regarding whether we need to pay DC sales taxes and unsure on how to deal with galleries and artists on that topic. Our contract does not address this issue. Contract specifies the percentage split on art auctioned.
