  • Recommendations on the best tools for your organizational needs

I am in great need of help in coming up with a new way to prioritize, execute and complete - my current system is not working. I go into the week with a list of action items for each day, but a day's list is unrealistic, and I end up constantly shuffling items and feeling ineffective. I need help also setting boundaries with my team for interruptions. I am hoping to find a coach who can help me regain a sense of control over my time and tasks.

What we have in place
  • I am open to learning anything new that will help me become a better manager of my time and achieve more balance.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,968 , allowing us to direct these funds to patient care for the uninsured in our community.

If I can become more effective in prioritizing those things that only I can do, and delegating to my team things that they can do, it will help advance the overall mission of our Clinic.

  • Professional and Volunteer Manager discuss perceived areas of strength, areas of improvement, and assess current organizational systems
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager decide on specific areas to focus on along with schedule and goals for each coaching session

Milestone 1: Coaching Sessions
  • In-depth coaching sessions on topics like setting professional boundaries, prioritization, organizational skills & systems implementation
  • Ensure each session is followed by a trial period to apply the skills and report back at subsequent sessions on the outcomes, learnings and follow-up questions

Milestone 2: Wrap-up & Learnings
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional evaluate lessons learned and progress made throughout coaching sessions, and decide on tool(s) (if appropriate) to aid in future organizing needs
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss action steps and area(s) of focus going forward

Our mission

The mission of the Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic is to provide community-based healthcare for the residents of Gloucester and Mathews counties, and select surrounding areas, who lack health insurance, or are covered by Medicaid. We achieve this through the efforts of volunteers, paid professionals and support staff, and contributions from members of the community who share our values and concern.

What we do

The Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic has provided compassionate care to uninsured adults in Gloucester and Mathews counties since 1998. We provide chronic care, acute care, behavioral health care, specialty care through our community partners, patient health education, and an on-site pharmacy.
