About The Org

Our Mission

Founded in 1961, Chabot College is a fully-accredited, public, urban community college serving over 14,000 students. The College offers over 100 instructional programs in the areas of general education, career technical education, transfer/continuing education, and basic skills instruction.

The Friends of Chabot College is the college's non-profit, philanthropic Foundation that raises funds to support Chabot students and programs while promoting college visibility in the community. The Friends of Chabot College major activities include organizing fundraising activities events, managing a robust scholarship program, overseeing the college alumni program, and community engagement with local organizations and businesses/corporations, and other community-based non-profit organizations.
