Project Details

What We Need
  • Customized and professionally designed graphic(s)
  • Training on how to create and customize graphics using (free) design tools/apps
Additional Details

We would like someone to create compelling images related to fruits and vegetables that will inspire teenagers to care more about nutrition. Our program features "Harvest of the Month" seasonal, locally grown produce in different scratch salad recipes served in the cafeteria. We would like content that highlights the local farms as well as the produce, while also appealing to the teenage demographic we serve. Culturally relevant material would be extremely helpful as well!

What We Have In Place
  • We currently have content- as in the monthly recipes and farms we buy from, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have access to students for feedback, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How This Will Help
This project will save us $3,607 , allowing us to spend more money on local fruits and vegetables for school meals and supplies for school gardens.

Our biggest goal is to inspire kids to eat healthier; and having a strong online presence is one of the best ways to get through to teens who are always on social media. Showing that we can capture teens' attention will also impress our funders and other partners we need to convince to continue to fund our program and the work we do.

  • Volunteer Manager shares with Professional the intended platform(s) where graphics will be posted, ideas for copy, and images to include in the graphics (if any)
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss the objective of the graphic, key audiences, and visual branding guidelines (if applicable)
  • Volunteer Manager shares examples of graphics or memes they like with the Professional

Milestone 1: Preliminary Design
  • Professional drafts three graphics using different themes to share with the Volunteer Manager
  • Volunteer Manager chooses one draft as a primary theme and provides feedback

Milestone 2: Graphic Creation
  • Professional provides Volunteer Manager with first draft of graphic
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with up to three rounds of feedback

Milestone 3: Final Graphic Delivered and Training
  • Professional delivers final version of the graphic and explains how to upload image(s) to the Organization’s chosen platform(s)
  • Professional trains Volunteer Manager how to create and customize graphics
