  • Wrap-up session with actionable steps and advice moving forward as a manager
Additional details

I have 20+ years experience as a Development Director for small-mid-sized human services organizations. I am taking on increasing responsibilities as a manager and am looking to grow my effectiveness in this piece of my work. There are few opportunities to be mentored by seasoned managers in this field, so I'm very excited about the possibility of learning opportunities through Catchafire.

What we have in place
  • I recently took a wonderful two day "Management Crash Course" through The Management Center in Washington, DC. I left with several practical tips and tools and am really excited about their usefulness and want to keep myself accountable for applying the lessons learned to my work. Growing as a manager is a top professional development goal for me.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,368 , allowing us to care for our herd of 17 horses, maintain our farm, and pay our instructors!

After 5+ years of planning, our organization is in the throes of a significant building project, the result of which will be expanded facilities that allow us to grow our programs. We are a relatively young staff with limited management experience. Improving my skills as a manager is a priority for me so that I can help ensure we operate as effectively and efficiently as possible, resulting in the best possible experiences for our clients.
