Project details

What we need
  • A compilation of research on a specific topic (e.g. industry best practices, literature review, media contacts, industry trends, etc.) including a list of sources
  • Recommendations on areas for further exploration/research
  • Note: This project is not designed to be used for prospect or grant research
Additional details

A list of Resources (references, online tools, guidebooks, studies) related to local governments and water resource management in Arizona. This can include best practices on-site design, layman's water policy/law interpretation, and any other useful references on the subject.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a template and a list of resources applicable to Colorado, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a dedicated staff point of contact, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,239 , allowing us to dedicate staff time and dollars towards workshop coordination.

This Resources list will be provided to the local government entities who are participating in our "Growing Water Smart" program. This program is well established in Colorado, and your help will enable us to expand into Arizona. These workshops support local governments in identifying their challenges in water and land use planning, goal setting and mapping out the necessary collaborations, communications plans, and action steps to achieve their goals.

Our mission

The Sonoran Institute's mission is to connect people and communities with the natural resources that nourish and sustain them.

What we do

We work at the nexus of commerce, community, and conservation to help people in the North American West build the communities they want to live in while preserving the values which brought them here. We envision a West where civil dialogue and collaboration are hallmarks of decision making, where people and wildlife live in harmony, and where clean water, air, and energy are assured.

Testimonials

Kim was very helpful in compiling a set of resources and references for our workbook. I was worried that our needs would be too technical for someone without experience in the industry, but she took it on anyway and excelled. I appreciate that confidence and diligence. Thank you, Kim!

Online Research Project

I really enjoyed working on this project. Amanda was very easy to work with and was in contact with me to make sure I understood what I needed to complete and had the information I needed to conduct my research. I have learned so much with Sonorans' cause and I know I helped out and saved them money that is needed for the important things
