Project details
What we need
- An easily understood visual aid that communicates complex information
- A high-resolution version of the Infographic in the Organization’s preferred format
Additional details
We need an infographic illustrating income disparity and food insecurity data in our county. The illustration will be displayed as an 18" x 24" poster (on an easel) during our volunteer service days and used for talking points regarding the families we are delivering food to.
What we have in place
- We currently have a rough concept, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have all the data, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to spend more time pursuing grant funding and reporting requirements (because the grant writer also wears the graphic designer hat!).
Sometimes it is hard for volunteers with no food insecurity (and steady income) to appreciate the great disparity between the northern and southern ends of their county. Even when volunteers give time, they might not give money toward the cost of the food that covers 70 home deliveries every week. We believe that giving them a clear picture, backed by statistics, will result in greater understanding and more financial support for what we do.
Project plan
Our mission
Fill Ministries' mission is to bring food, hope and transformation to children and families in need, with resources from our community.
What we do
Fill Ministries started as a feeding program in 2011 and has grown to include feeding (weekly home delivery + community pantry), in-home mentoring and job skills training. We have built an aquaponic farm for the purpose of improving our client families' diets with year-round produce. Extra produce is offered for sale and those revenues fund the purchase of additional produce that can't be grown in an aquaponic environment. With additional greenhouses, we will be able to fund our own operating costs. We consistently are blessed with 200 to 400+ volunteers every week who make meals, pack food boxes, work on the farm and deliver to low-income families in Forsyth and Dawson Counties in Georgia.
